As a Project Manager at Ascend, you will play a key role in driving the execution of client initiatives, ensuring strategic objectives translate into actionable results. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and excels at managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Execution & Delivery – Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of strategic initiatives, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Partner with client teams, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to align objectives and maintain project momentum.
  • Change Management Support – Apply structured change management principles to drive adoption, mitigate risks, and optimize business impact.
  • Risk & Issue Management – Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure roadblocks are addressed.
  • Process Optimization – Assess project workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to enhance effectiveness.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting – Develop dashboards, track key performance indicators, and provide insights to inform decision-making.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, strategy execution, or change management, preferably in consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid approaches).
  • Experience leading business transformation or organizational change initiatives.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or Microsoft Project) and strong Microsoft Office/Google Suite skills.
  • PMP, Prosci Change Management, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certifications are a plus.

Engagement Details

This is a 1099 independent contractor role, offering flexibility and autonomy. Engagements are project-based, and hours may vary depending on client needs. While this role is not a full-time salaried position, there is potential for ongoing collaboration on multiple client engagements.
